Supporting our Communities

Recently, the Osborne team, along with their supply chain partners have been working on a project at Axe Valley in Devon.

The team safely completed their nine day blockade, ahead of programme over a weekend, installing 80m of culverts beneath the Exeter mainline to alleviate the flooding risk.

In their spare time, they decided to give something back to the community in which they were working and took time to construct a safe play area at Hawkchurch School in Axminster.

The team constructed a flower bed, so that the children can grow flowers, vegetables and herbs. They also cut through a hedge and put a security gate in place, so that the children and parents have a safe walking route from the car park into the school grounds.

Along with this, they resurfaced the play area and set up a friendship bench around a tree, so that the children have a quiet area to sit. In addition, the team installed a crash barrier in a car park to protect the local playground and also helped to organise the Village Fair.

The children were particularly excited to receive a visit from Rosie, the Osborne Mascot to celebrate the opening of their new facilities.
