Virtual Fun at the Fair

Osborne joined local employers to engage with over 1000 students from 14 schools across Dacorum at the recent Dacorum Schools Careers Fair.

Representatives from Communities and Infrastructure were on hand to offer careers advice, whilst a virtual reality headset proved a huge hit, with students and the local Mayor able to experience a bridge project from start to finish, or enjoy a virtual ‘Roller-Coaster’ ride.

The event, the first of its kind in the area, was organised and hosted by Connect Dacorum, part of Community Action Dacorum, which aims to create, facilitate and broker business engagement and support to benefit the local community.

Cindy Withey from Connect Dacorum said: “A big thank you for attending our first Dacorum Schools Careers Fair. We’ve had some excellent feedback from students, schools and employers.

Our heartfelt thanks for giving us your time and more importantly, for providing inspiration, guidance and information to the young people of Dacorum.”
