Beaulieu Ecological Delivery

Working in the heart of the New Forest and at a Site of Scientific Interest, our team at Beaulieu are nearing completion of an embankment stabilisation scheme to remove an Emergency Speed Restriction.

The works have included the installation of an 82.5m sheet pile retaining wall at the crest of an embankment, requiring approximately 6000 tonnes of material to be imported just to build the temporary piling platform and haul road.

With access only being available along Forestry Commission tracks, which had to remain open to the public at all times, a strict traffic management regime was critical to the success of the project in this environmentally sensitive area.
