Transforming HOME on the High Street

Osborne helped to paint and transform the ground floor of HOME on the High Street, over a two day period.

HOME on the High Street is a pop up space for residents to be creative, share their stories and collaborate with artists from around the world.  HOME Slough shares this space with community groups and together they provide lots of ways for the public to be creative enjoy and cultural activities.

HOME on the High Street, a disused shop in the Observatory Shopping Centre, was in urgent need of a face lift. Osborne Property Services were tasked with painting the ground floor of the shop, giving it a clean, fresh and vibrant feel.

Over two days, we managed to cover 3965sq ft of walls and woodwork, making the space look renewed.

We had volunteers from several organisations, and local businesses, including Bell Group, ADL Connexions and Mix Up Reality who contributed to 96 hours of volunteering.  Volunteers from HOME Slough’s network of creative connectors also donated their time.  Equipment to assist us was donated by Speedy Slough, and Bell Group also donated the paint to use.

HOME Slough’s Operations manager, Amanda Renn said:

“On behalf of the HOME Slough Team, we would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who generously donated their time and labour during this month’s refurbishment of HOME on the High Street.  We couldn’t have done it without you. Your contribution is helping us create the perfect environment to reach new audiences and provide memorable arts and cultural events that celebrate and shape the future of the town and we look forward to having you as our guests and audiences in the months and years ahead.”
