Osborne Shortlisted for the British Construction Industry Awards 2019

Osborne has been shortlisted in the category of ‘Social Infrastructure Project of the Year’ at the 2019 British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA).

Osborne have made the shortlist from a record-breaking number of entrants, for their Beatrice Shilling Building. The STEM funded flagship building, delivered via the LCP Framework, houses the new Department of Electronic Engineering, providing high quality lecture and seminar spaces as well as specialist engineering teaching facilities.

The three storey superstructure, in view of the Grade I listed Founder’s Building, has been designed using a hybrid of structural steel and precast concrete.

The British Construction Industry Awards are organised by New Civil Engineer, part of emap and Institution of Civil Engineers. The awards seek to recognise and reward excellence in project delivery and, crucially, delivering outcomes for society and call on the whole project team – client, architect, designer and contractor.

John Craig, Managing Director of Osborne Built Environment said; “I am delighted that the Beatrice Shilling Building is in the running for this significant Award. We are extremely proud to have been part of the delivery for this remarkable facility that’s been built to inspire future generations.”

This year’s winners will be announced on 9 October 2019 at a glamorous ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
