Osborne Winner at Construction News Awards

Osborne are winners of the Best Use of Technology for ‘WebContractor’ at the Construction News Awards 2019. Osborne and partners OpenECX collected the Award at a sparkling event in central London, last night.

A total of 21 winners were recognised for their outstanding work on projects large and small.

Osborne is using WebContractor, which is a cloud based, online application for payment system which is used to manage the applications for payment submitted by subcontractors.

Feedback from Osborne’s’ supply chain partners so far has been positive. They feel that it is easy to use and the process is more transparent and it is easy for them to see where their applications are in the approval process.

Mark Mitchell, Operations Finance Director at Osborne said; “We are now using the system on over 47 projects with over 260 subcontract orders placed via WebContractor and the uptake from both our commercial teams and subcontractors has been really good. Part of our commitment to industry best practice is the delivery of efficient processes for both our own teams and our subcontractors and WebContractor is key to helping us achieve this in the application for payment space. The continued roll out of the solution will see it used across all our operations businesses where we expect to see the benefits of the streamlined processes and comprehensive reporting reflected in savings in time and money.”

The continued development of additional functionality will also help improve efficiencies even further.
