Victoria Station World Class Toilets receive Exceptional Feedback

Well done to all involved at Victoria Station for their safe completion of the Sussex side toilets.  The last few months have been particularly challenging but the finished product makes it all worthwhile!

Since its concept in the autumn of last year, everyone has given their utmost dedication and commitment to deliver this project; from installing temporary toilets, demolishing the existing toilets and designing a world class facility, to final construction – all in a little over six months!

The team worked ten consecutive days and nights over Christmas to strip out the old toilets and have worked every bank holiday and weekend since.  Some shifts have had 23 tilers working along with all the other trades!

With all the waste from the toilets going into a sewage tank two levels below the concourse, the new combined sewage macerator pump has to be able to cope with all manner of debris and  the mechanical and electrical designers, did a tremendous job in designing a robust drainage system to pump the waste up to street level.

The new toilets have i-Pad feedback buttons within the facility for passengers and the public to add their comments and the feedback has been amazing.  An overall satisfaction rate of 96% has been achieved so far with responses including comments such as;

“Amazing vibe, great facilities and free, all round clean and smells good thanks, very helpful staff, beautiful design, very good all round, it was fantastic, awesome stylish clean toilets thanks for keeping them so lovely, great fresh décor, this is very nice clean and modern just as a bathroom area should be, well done it was worth waiting for, much improved, like a five star plus bathroom, nicest toilets in London, feels like a 5 star hotel!”

Enormous congratulations to the whole team for the safe delivery of a truly quality product that puts passenger experience at the fore.
