The Osborne team who are working on the A500 Etruria Widening was able to save their customer time and money recently, as well as reducing inconvenience to road users by sharing a series of road closures with another contractor.
The Osborne team needed to close the A500 carriageway between the Wolstanton and Porthill junctions overnight to undertake surveys in the central reserve.
The closures took place between 8pm and 6am each night from 23 to 27 September, with a signed diversion route in place.
Kier Highways, Highways England’s Asset Support Contractor, was invited by Osborne to share the closure in order to carry out vegetation maintenance, road marking renewal and reflective stud replacement.
