Kick-Starting Careers for All

Osborne has welcomed Tiago Baia, a student attending the Pre-Apprenticeship Programme at their Dacorum offices.

The programme is organised by the Astley Cooper School and is unique in Hertfordshire. It combines essential classroom preparation for the world of work with a six-month work experience placement, something that will stand out on job applications and CVs in the future.

Osborne Property Services have been working in partnership with the school since the launch of the programme, two years ago and were able to offer course student Rebecca Mullen, a plumbing apprenticeship.

Tiago will be spending two days a week working with our Multi-Trade Operatives for the next six months, focusing on electrical and plumbing trades. On his first day, he was welcomed to the programme with an office tour, learnt about our company and was fully inducted.

Richard O’Brien, Co-ordinator of the Pre-Apprenticeship Programme at Astley Cooper School said: “Osborne provides us with our top pre-apprenticeship placement. It’s held as an example to every other employer that works with us and all our students want the chance to take it.

“Without the help of Osborne our unique programme may not exist. It certainly wouldn’t be as successful if it wasn’t for them!”

We wish Tiago the best of luck in his placement and his future career as well!
