Connect Dacorum Christmas Lunch

Osborne sponsored the annual Connect Dacorum Festive Lunch last month, which was just one activity amongst an array of festive celebrations across our Dacorum contract.

Established in 2006 by local businesses, Connect Dacorum is a membership organisation where businesses engage and support the local community. The group remove some of the barriers which could prevent businesses from getting in touch with the community.

Over the last year, Osborne Property Services have continued to be an active member in Connect Dacorum, attending events such as the Dacorum School Careers Fair, Networking Meetings and Employability Days, all with the aim of helping people and small businesses in the local area.

Over 100 people attended the Christmas Lunch from an array of local businesses and charitable organisations. There was a guest speaker present, Chris Ramsey, who is a local football coach, and Mayors from Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring were also present.

Osborne hosted a table and invited Councillor M Griffiths (Portfolio Holder for Housing), Dacourm Borough Council Staff and our very own shining stars; Sarah Richardson, Kevin Patterson and Derek Hebbs – our own people who have worked hard throughout the year and have often been out helping and supporting various community investment initiatives.

Cindy Withey from Connect Dacorum said: “Thank you Osborne so much for sponsoring the event and without our sponsors we would not have been able to put on such a fabulous event. It is a great opportunity to celebrate all the good that local businesses do to help the community over the past year and there certainly has been much to celebrate.”

To continue the theme of good will at Christmas, we joined other local volunteers for the Rotary Santa Sleigh in partnership with Connect Dacorum door knocking evening and walked over two and a half miles around the estates of Hemel Hempstead. Over £500 was raised which was a fantastic achievement!

We are looking forward to continuing to work with Connect Dacorum in 2020!
