Farnham Bridge Strengthening – Christmas to New Year’s Eve Success

Working together with our customer Network Rail and our supply chain partners, Osborne successfully completed critical strengthening works to Farnham Road Bridge in Guildford.

The teams worked around the clock from 24th December until 31st December with our valued supply partners, Deploy, TJ Civils, McNealy Brown, Alltask, Jack Tighe and AW Corrosion Solutions.

The intensive works required bespoke scaffold access and containment, painting and installation of new steel plates to the bridge structure. 4800 man-hours, 8.5 tonnes of steel, 1300 bolts installed and not a single complaint from local residents.

Project Manager – Bradley Mansbridge commented “I am immensely proud of the collaborative team of people that gave up their festive time and came together for this project. There was tremendous camaraderie and energy from every participant to ensure that all project objectives were met. It was especially rewarding that everyone put safety first and looked out for each other ensuring all work was completed with no incidents or accidents.”
