Making Bird Boxes With Students in Bexhill

We recently worked with All Saints Primary School to make a variety of bird boxes with students.

Osborne Property Services went along to the Primary School and their pupil Eco Club to build bird boxes for robins and blue tits made from waste wood.

The session was delivered over lunchtime when the Eco Club would usually meet. We came along with our operative Toby and Audrey Pinnington from Optivo to help the children build the boxes.

The children were thrilled to have the opportunity to make the bird boxes and were very hands on. There was great interaction with our operative Toby, and students were guided throughout the whole process.

We are popping back to the school soon to put the boxes up, with a return visit scheduled afterwards to check out our new neighbouring inhabitants.

Helen Vine, School Business Manager said:

“Thank you, Osborne, for such an amazing session. It gave the children such a fantastic opportunity to work together as a team and produce such lovely bird boxes. This is a fantastic start to a great partnership. The session was delivered in such a professional and inclusive way. Thank you to Toby and Audrey who were absolutely brilliant with the children”.

We are looking forward to going back to the school again soon!
