Supporting DENS in Dacorum

Over the last few years, Osborne has been supporting DENS Action against Homelessness in Dacorum, most recently taking part in the annual sleep out.

Since 2003, DENS has supported thousands of homeless and vulnerable individuals which has been achieved through a strong volunteer network and support from community groups, schools and local businesses.

Braving a cold winter’s night, our Osborne team came together to raise awareness of homeless in the local area.

Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to the team with heavy wind and rain throughout the night but our team worked through it to build their cardboard and tarpaulin homes for the night before participating in a silent disco with the rest of the volunteers.

Over 200 people took part in the sleep out which was a DENS record, and collectively have raised over £35,000 – with our people raising over £700 which is a fantastic achievement!

Nicky Maxwell-Braithwaite, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at DENS said: “Thank you for doing something amazing and taking part in our DENS Sleepout Challenge! It certainly was a night to remember!
