Supporting Families in Slough

Our Property Services team recently supported Hestia by donating furniture items to a number of households and families in Slough.

Hestia who is celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year, is a charity which supports adults and children in crisis, including mental health and complex needs and domestic abuse refuge.

In the past twelve months, we have delivered a campaign called, ‘Gift, With Love’. Alongside our partner Slough Borough Council, we supported a series of events including a Mother’s Day appeal, donations for families breaking up for the summer holiday and a Christmas toy appeal.

As part of our contract with the council we clear and re-decorate vacant homes in preparation for new tenants coming in, often picking up various unwanted furniture. From microwaves to bookshelves, our aim is to support the needs of our local people by recycling these items.
