Scary Faces for Young Carers

Supporting local groups has always been a priority and now with the impact of Covid19 on communities, we know the true value these groups make by bringing friends together for a social event.

In Winchester we were really pleased to supply a wheelbarrow of pumpkins for young carers so they could get carving and create some spooky looking features.

Winchester and District Young Carers mission is to improve the lives of children and young people with caring responsibilities by providing safe, quality support to individuals and offering an inclusive and holistic approach which considers the needs of the whole family. The charity offers 1:1 support, activities, days out and a wide range of support.

During the Half Term, the charity held an interactive activity where children and young people had the opportunity to have a break from their day-to-day caring responsibilities with focus dedicated to themselves.

It was a busy gathering where the children got to have fun and socialise, taking time out enjoying the thrills of scooping and creating a scary face!

Well done to all of our people – helping charities like this is at the heart of everything we do.
