Helping the Stork with Deliveries

Working with our Charity Partner of the Year, Stripey Stork, we have been out delivering activity packs to families.

With half term just around the corner, a whopping 182 activity packs have been pulled together by Reigate Baby Bank charity, Stripey Stork, with the aim of helping to keep children and their siblings entertained during the cold February Half Term.

The packs which include pens, pencils, activities and books, were delivered to a local school who will share them with families who they recognize need a little helping hand.

Jo Fletcher, Head of Engagement commented; ‘It really is great to be part of the Stripey Stork team who really do positively enrich the lives of local families. Stripey Stork were chosen as our Charity of the Year, and we’re already looking forward to supporting their next campaign for Mother’s Day.

Stripey Stork Comment:

Schools have found themselves on the frontline during the pandemic, with most remaining open for vulnerable families and keyworker children throughout lockdown. Stripey Stork has been working closely with schools across Surrey to help – providing stationery for home learning, as well as clothing and other essentials items for families in need. With half term approaching, the Head Teacher of one local school wanted to ensure that families continued to be supported while the school was closed and asked Stripey Stork to help. We know how hard it can be to keep children entertained for long periods at home, particularly when finances are tight and we were happy to help by putting together activity bags to help pass the time. We are grateful to Osborne for helping with deliveries once again, and impressed that Neal did so with his usual smile, even despite the snowy conditions!
