Shining Light on Shein

Fashion brand, Shein recently donated a huge amount of their end-of-line clothes to families in need.

We were put in contact with Shein who generously offered an extensive wardrobe of both women’s and children’s clothing. Due to the huge volume of items, we sent our Osborne van along with our Operatives and Community Investment Manager to load the heavy 30 boxes and transported them to a nearby warehouse run by One Slough. This strong community group supports residents across the borough in which we work and were pleased to house the clothing items.

Working in partnership with One Slough, we invited local charities supporting families to specify the age and sizes required so our teams could package up bundles for collection in a secure way.  We have already been able to provide clothing for charitable organisations to include Hestia, Slough Refugee Support, SANAS and Slough Your People Services and know the positive impact this has made to people.

In collaboration with One Slough, our aim is to create a dedicated area within the warehouse to display the clothes, making them more accessible and presentable, providing a shopping experience to extended charities.

Vicky Fordham-Lewis, Managing Director for Property Services commented; ‘This generous donation from Shein has, and will continue to make a big difference to families in need. Through our community partnerships within Slough we have been able to reach out to local charities that we know will truly benefit from clothing.”
