Osborne Scoops LUL Quality Benchmark Award

Osborne’s Ickenham project is the first site to achieve London Underground Renewals and Enhancements Portfolio Quality Benchmark Award.

Programme Manager Wayne Sheppard commented; “Given the enormous volume of work undertaken by the LUL Renewals and Enhancement team I am immensely proud of the Ickenham project team, our suppliers, and partners. As you can imagine the criteria set by our customer is very high and this is a fantastic achievement, to add to the Beacon (safety) award received last year.”

The LUL Quality Benchmark represents a site which is setup and managed with the required and efficient people, processes, and products to provide confidence of getting it right the first time. LUL have stated this is one way of getting their sites to have the minimum standard for quality on site, reduce errors and misunderstandings, reduce Health, Safety and Environmental incidences/accidents, and encourage good practice.

The Quality Benchmark process helps in delivering site works efficiently by getting them right the first time, every time also performing efficiently at speed without compromising safety and quality. The Quality Benchmark Site criteria are based on the basic standard requirements for achieving project quality performance on site. With these criteria in mind, a range of questions to measure the performance and standards of current sites and future ones have been developed.
