Maya Joins Our Apprenticeship Programme

Osborne is very pleased to welcome Maya Elie to its established Apprenticeship Programme.

Apprenticeships provide a number of benefits including employment opportunities in local communities and this is especially important in a time of skills shortage within the industry. Equally, Apprenticeships deliver true business benefits too. Bringing motivation to learn and the focus on their development and skills relevant to their role, drives greater efficiency.

Based out of our Slough office, our Apprentice Estimator will play a pivotal role in contributing to our ambitious growth plans for Osborne Property Services.  As part of her Apprenticeship, Maya will attend college one day a week from September completing her HNC in the Built Environment, with the remaining four days learning on the job.

The role of an Apprentice Estimator is a varied, fast paced and stimulating one where Maya will be forefront of our busy Bid Team activity. Supported through her Apprenticeship journey, Maya will attend start-up meetings, carry out site visits and support adjudications for tenders. She will also work closely with sub-contractors to obtain quotations and prepare commercial documents for handover to our Quantity Surveyors.

Vicky Fordham-Lewis commented ‘We really embrace Apprenticeships within Osborne. Our Programme is designed to ensure that they have the support, structure and the check-ins to allow them to the best version of themselves. Maya joins us at a very exciting time and I am confident that she will gain a great experience, and for us, we gain a great asset.’
