Racking Up Wellbeing

Osborne in partnership with Arun District Council joined local residents to install seven bike racks to safely secure their bikes.

Keen cyclists and local residents of Flaxmean House in Felpham had requested the racks so they could have quick and easy access to their bikes to enjoy the outdoor space. Led by Sasha Hawkins, Resident Engagement Officer for Arun District Council, we were delighted to be able to support an initiative that positively promotes the health and wellbeing of our local community.

Whilst surveying the area where we installed the bike racks, we identified a great space of which we were able to utilise using outdoor storage boxes for garden tools. The area is secured via a gate and means that local residents can take great comfort and confidence in knowing that their garden essentials will be safely housed throughout the year.

Sasha Hawkins, Resident Engagement Officer commented ‘It was great working in partnership with Osborne to deliver on this initiative for our residents at Flaxmean House. We look forward to working with Osborne throughout the year on more initiatives that will benefit our communities.’

Local Resident said; “I  am happy it has been installed as it makes storing my bike much easier.”

Jo Fletcher, Head of Engagement, Osborne said; “More now than ever we recognise the need to support wellbeing and know from meeting the residents, that this will truly encourage their activity.”
