Osborne Secures a Place on the London Innovation Partnership

Osborne Property Services has secured a significant place on the new Innovation Partnership framework which is designed to create zero carbon buildings, tackle the climate emergency, as well as creating thousands of green jobs over the next decade.

Forming part of the ‘retrofit revolution’ recently announced by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, the new partnership deal worth up to £10 billion across London, is designed to speed up the pace of cutting carbon emissions and achieving zero carbon by 2050. The Mayor’s Energy for Londoners programme will provide a collaborative and knowledgeable team of energy efficiency experts, committed to positively contributing and impacting London’s Green New Deal mission.

Osborne Property Services are one, of just five contractors awarded a place on the scheme which will help to facilitate a seamless partnership with social landlords and building contractors, enabling fast paced home retrofits through all stages of the process, from planning to large scale delivery. Homeowners across London will see green enhancements made to their property through the installation of energy efficient solutions to include better insulation, low-carbon heat and clean power sources, such as solar energy.

Vicky Fordham-Lewis, Managing Director, Osborne Property Services Ltd commented: ‘This really is a momentous award for Osborne Property Services at a time when focus on creating healthier homes and environments for communities is at the top of many agendas. We have a genuine care and interest in providing sustainable carbon zero solutions, improving the quality of people’s lives with warm, affordable, and ultra-low carbon homes. Equally it provides a brilliant opportunity to develop our technical and people skills to make sure we can play our part in delivering the climate targets.”

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “Creating jobs and tackling the climate emergency are two of my priorities for London and that’s why I am delighted London is leading the way on a retrofit revolution. With the COP26 summit taking place later this year, it’s vital that we show how London is leading the way with our Green New Deal.

“A strong economic recovery from COVID-19 and a green recovery are not mutually exclusive. This transformative approach to retrofit will directly help those living in ageing, energy-inefficient homes, and could play a vital role cutting energy bills and tackling fuel poverty. It will also support Londoners with the skills they need for jobs in the green economy, rebuilding our city post-COVID so that it’s cleaner, greener and fairer.”
