Attracting new talent in Slough

 Apprenticeship Recruitment Day

Yesterday, on Wednesday the 3rd of November, Osborne hosted an Apprenticeship Recruitment Day in partnership with Slough Borough Council, attracting new talent from local residents in Slough.

The day started with talks from the leadership team at Osborne. This included our Managing Director Vicky Fordham-Lewis, Head of Engagement Jo Fletcher, and Community Investment Manager Kevin Larkin. They shared with the next generation the wide scope of apprenticeship roles available across the business, from business administration to customer service roles through to trades.

Community Partners, Langley College who form part of Windsor Forest College, joined us to provide our potential new apprentices with information on their journey over the coming two years.
They also had the opportunity to hear first-hand from enthusiastic Business Development Apprentice, Louis Currie. Louis explained how he is benefitting from the earn and learn experience with us, gaining a great foundation for his career progression.

The interested recruits then took part in an interactive team building exercise where they demonstrated their individual strengths and qualities through negotiating, leadership, communication, and solution thinking.

We then ended the day with interviews for several apprenticeship roles which were very successful with the aim that they will be joining our team to deliver quality service for our client Slough Borough Council and residents.

We hope the day was enriching and educational and has raised awareness of the huge benefits of the apprenticeship programme.
