Wrapping and Delivering Festive Cheer this Christmas

During this festive period, we partnered with our charity of the year Stripey Storks to deliver something special.

Each year Stripey Storks holds a Santa Stork campaign. Santa Stork aims to provide presents for families and people whom are struggling to make ends meet. Parents and children are referred to Stripey Stork. Due to the year we have all experienced, the number of requests was far beyond anything they have received before. Stripey Stork’s had over 7,213 gift referrals for families who would otherwise go without this Christmas.

Our team members Neal Allison, Katie Brookes, Kevin Larkin, Mahesh Odedra, and Lyn Mangisi volunteered their community day to wrap the donated presents for the children and parents Stripey Stork will be gifting. We also donated a van for the day and helped with the delivery of present packages to locations across the South-East.

It was a great day filled with festive cheer and Christmas jumpers. It’s a time of year to appreciate family and friends and to do what you can to help those who are less fortunate. The Osborne team loved getting involved with this campaign knowing the smiles that this effort will bring on Christmas Day.

Mahesh Odedra, Resourcing Business Partner at Osborne: ‘I had a rewarding and enjoyable day at Stripey Stork with my Osborne colleagues. The work Stripey Stork do, especially at this time of year, is so important. They are working to bring a little bit of joy to those who need it most. I would highly recommend giving up your time and supporting Stripey Stork.’

Donna Pariser, Partnerships Manager at Stripey Stork: ‘We were so grateful to our partners at Osborne for once again supporting Santa Stork. As well as sharing the Santa Shop in their internal communications, some of the team became Elves for the day! They arrived at Santa’s workshop very much in the festive spirit. They were wearing their Christmas jumpers and singing along to Christmas music all day. They also were kept very busy packing and wrapping gifts all morning. Two of the team used their van to deliver a whopping 155 gifts! Thank you, Osborne, for being part of Team Stork!’
