Enhancing a vital hub for the elderly

Osborne recently supported Slough Borough Council and The New Langley Community Association (TNLCA) to redecorate the centre as communities re-emerge and re-engage post-Covid restrictions. The centre hosts a much-needed food bank as well as vital lunches for the elderly and vulnerable members of the community. They also host many other social activities, helping members to socialise and integrate.

With a tight project plan of just three days to transform the tired space, our team had to work fast and smart to ensure that the decorating would be completed in time for the re-opening!

Angela, the Manager of TNLCA, was delighted with the outcome and commented “it will make a big difference to our members and volunteers who run the centre”.

To celebrate the re-opening of the revitalised community hub, our team members Carol and Neal joined by our newest member Sairah, went along to the Thursday Lunch Club. Osborne served up a delicious cream tea and fun quiz, together with prizes, for the members to enjoy.

Manager of TNLCA, Angela ‘The afternoon was great fun and our ladies and gents were very spoilt. It makes such a difference to be able to offer something a little different. It’s also good to meet some of the team, and to gain a little insight into how you all work in different departments.’
