Mentors Matter

Osborne recently welcomed its new cohort of mentors across the business through a developed and comprehensive Mentor Training Programme.

With a strong focus on supporting and developing our people, our programme has been designed to embrace a positive experience for both mentor and mentee, contributing to our continual learning culture.

The interactive inhouse training session was delivered in person to a classroom of vibrant delegates who put themselves forward with a desire to share their skills and areas of expertise with new recruits to include apprentices, work placements, and new starters.

We understand that we are currently faced with a skills gap in the construction industry, and we want to enhance training and development programmes in our business to help navigate young people into our industry.

Vicky Fordham-Lewis, Managing Director Osborne Property Services commented ‘We are so pleased to see the many integrated benefits that come through the programme.  Since the launch we have seen an increase in cross departmental engagement, improved onboarding and productivity, increase in job satisfaction as well as building diversity.

The success of the programme is a direct result of our people and their ambitions to share their knowledge and skills with others. Their motivation is, and will continue to drive new career pathways for others’.

New Mentor Esther Pellow commented ‘It was a great day, and I learned a lot from the experience. I am excited to be able to be a part of such an important educational programme and to do what I can to support closing the skills gap we are currently faced with in this industry.’
