Celebrating Slough Children First’s Acheivements

We were delighted to support Slough Children First to celebrate the achievements of their young people and children at a fun filled event.

Slough Children First is a wholly owned subsidiary of Slough Borough Council the council that provides children’s social care and support services.

An interactive and engaging day hosted at Slough & Eton School, saw the young people come together to enjoy an engaging day of activities, including sporting activities, a live DJ, face painting, a petting zoo, and a tasty lunch. Osborne also organised a soft archery and hoopla stand where families got to enjoy friendly competition between themselves. Slough’s Mayor, Councillor Dilbagh S. Parmar and his wife Mayoress Amarjit Parmar, took part in Osborne’s activities too. Neal Allison, Sairah Ghalib, Louis Currie, and work placement trainee, Dan West, volunteered their time to support this worthy cause.

Reshma Bessesar, Head of Service: Children Looked After and Support Services at Slough Children First: ‘All thanks to your generous sponsorship we were able to hold a successful event to acknowledge the amazing achievements of our children in care and care leavers over the last year. The event was an accumulation of a range of activities from face painting to film production workshops to sports activities for all children and young people.’

Foster Carer, who attended the event:Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for organising the fun day yesterday. It was an excellent day, well organised, with loads of things going on and something for everyone. I know all the children had a brilliant time. The whole team at Slough Children First did a magnificent job and I just wanted to relay my thanks. Well done.’
