Hestia receives gifts from Osborne

Osborne supported Hestia over the festive period, by gifting the children of service users, presents to help make their Christmas extra special.

Hestia is a charity which supports those who have suffered through modern slavery and domestic abuse, across the Southeast and London areas. They have helped over 14,000 people in the last year.

Our Slough branch spent over two weeks donating gifts for a range of different ages. Each day, the pile of presents grew and grew as donations were generously dropped off. By the time the families were ready to receive the gifts, our 3-metre-long table was overflowing. It looked like Santa’s workshop.

On our Christmas Jumper Day, Osborne welcomed Hestia’s service users to a specially dedicated Christmas party where guests enjoyed the festivities. Children got to pick their own presents, listen to Christmas music, enjoy snacks, and spend time with other families. Once the service users had left the party, the remaining gifts were moved into the Hestia office who will distribute the parcels to the children who were unable to attend the gathering.

Hestia had provided a list of 73 children, of all age ranges, who they wanted gifts for, and Team Osborne donated every present. This is a fantastic outcome, putting smiles on the faces of the recipients!

Gift donations from Osborne staff and their families, ranged from Echo Dots, remote control cars, luxury bath sets, Lego sets, cuddly toys, vanity sets, footballs, toy toolboxes and much more creating a social value outcome of £4,055.

‘Seeing our office desk grow with generous donations was incredible, as well as bringing our teams together as they wrapped each individual present.

‘On the day of the party, experiencing the excitement of the children first hand was wonderful and brought home the ‘gift of giving’.

Andrea Lawrence, Service Manager Hestia
