Come Rain or Shine!

Rain did not stop our determined volunteers and residents of Langley on a Saturday morning litter pick. A vast team of adults, young people and families with children as young as three, gathered at Kedermister Park as part of the Great British Spring Clean.

The Great British Spring Clean is now in its eighth year and aims to gather communities from all over the country to get involved in picking up litter, locally and nationally.

Followed by a safety talk by Organisers, our Social Value Manager Neal Allison, supplied volunteers with high vis waistcoats, heavy duty gloves and litter picks for children. Partner organisations also supplied litter picks, litter bags and refreshments which were enjoyed sheltered under our gazebo.

Working together, the team of 50+ volunteers removed over 120+ bags of litter from in and around Kedermister Park, and surrounding roads. Joined by Slough Borough Council, and local organisations including Slough Anti-Litter Society, the Slough Hub, and many others, our Social Value Manager, Sairah, celebrated the ‘Litter Pick Champions’, presenting them with certificates.
