Osborne makes a stand at local job fair

Invited by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), we proudly took a stand, alongside 20+ employers at their popular Job Fair in The Curve, Slough with the aim of promoting career opportunities within Construction.

Job fairs are a great way for employers to support individuals who may not have access to traditional job search methods. They provide an opportunity for job seekers to meet with employers face-to-face, learn about available job vacancies, and ask questions.

The event welcomed over 400+ job seekers throughout the day.  We were pleased to promote five live job vacancies to include Multi-trade Operatives, Planners as well as Business Administration. In support of our drive to reduce paper waste, we asked potential candidates to scan the QR code, taking them straight to the job advertisement, proving to increase applications due to ease of access.

Social Value Manager, Sairah, engaged with job seekers who were looking for employment opportunities and was able to provide employment advice to those who visited our stand.

Jo Fletcher, Head of Engagement commented: ‘We recognise the many benefits that are realised through a diverse and inclusive workforce and the value that individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds bring to our organisation.  We continue our commitment to providing equal opportunities for all applicants.

Jobseeker, commentedI really like the QR code taking me straight to the job. I will apply straight away.’
