Apprentice to Appointment
We are delighted to offer Shannon a fulltime position as part of her career pathway from Business Administration Apprenticeship to a Planner.
Shannon recognised that she didn’t want to continue her learning through a traditional college route, but instead explored how an apprenticeship could provide her with a vocational opportunity. Joining us in October 2019, soon after finishing school, Shannon went through our induction programme, with other new recruits, to gain a better understanding of our values, culture and the way we do things.
Attending a local college one day a week, and office based for the remaining week, Shannon soon became a valuable member of our team, contributing to the success of our service delivery. Shannon’s ability to gain trust of colleagues has enabled her to develop strong relationship with colleagues, providing a key foundation for communication.
Throughout the apprenticeship experience, Shannon has continued to be reliable, consistent and above all has shown huge enthusiasm and it was a natural progression for her to join us in a full time role as a Planner.
New full time recruit, Shannon Brogan, Planner said “I am very excited to be taking the skills I have learned throughout the last year to be successful in my new role. The past year has been very rewarding and I’ve enjoyed every step of it. I am extremely pleased to be able to further my career and keep on working within the team that have supported me.”
Vicky Fordham-Lewis, Managing Director commented “We are driven by a passionate workforce who contribute to our communities, keeping homes at a good standard. As Shannon has demonstrated so brilliantly, you don’t need to know about the housing sector – as long as you are keen to learn new skills and have a desire to positively impact people lives, then this could be a career pathway for you.”
