East Surrey Careers Fair Showcases Construction as more than just a job

Osborne is always keen to attract new talent to the industry.

This week representatives from Osborne attended the East Surrey Careers Fair, in Redhill which was attended by 800 people.

The Careers Fair was a showcase for local businesses, students and the general public. Osborne took to their stand and demonstrated Virtual Reality, which has been used recently on some of their sites. Using Virtual Reality in this way help to train people around construction plant and other safety training as part of  embracing new technology on our projects.

Osborne were represented by  Rakesh and Mahesh, both  from the People team and Dominic Lowry from Infrastructure, who were able to give a view on what it’s like to work and develop their careers with Osborne.

The pink firm is always looking for ways to engage and raise awareness of not just Osborne as a business but the variety of careers that are available within the construction industry.

Osborne is a member of the 5% Club, demonstrating their commitment to apprentices. Currently 9% of employees are enrolled on apprenticeship programmes and more are being recruited.
