Our Group Board is made up of senior industry figures with a wealth of experience in the construction and civil engineering sectors and private development, along with representatives of the Osborne family and financial specialists. It steers the company towards an ever-improving customer service and high quality technical standards without losing sight of Geoffrey Osborne’s ethos.
Andrew Osborne – Chairman
Andrew became Chairman in July 2012. He joined the group in 1998 and has taken on the roles of Group Finance Director and Chief Executive during his 20 years with the business. Andrew is a chartered accountant and has a degree in Engineering Science from Oxford University. He was a non-executive Director of Charter International PLC from 2005 to 2012. He is a Trustee and Chairman of WellChild, the national charity for sick children and Director of the Institute of Family Business.
Andy Steele – Group Chief Executive
Andy became Group Chief Executive in April 2015. He had previously re-joined Osborne in July 2013 as a Board Director and Managing Director of Construction, having worked for the company earlier in his career. Andy has held senior management positions focusing on strategy development in a range of sectors including construction. Previous roles have included: Managing Director of Connaught plc Public Services Division; Chief Executive Officer of Stephens Scown, one of the largest regional law practices and Managing Director of his own company providing business development services.
Stuart Hammond – Group Finance Director
Stuart joined Osborne in October 2005 and joined the board in September 2016. He has held senior financial roles both corporately and within the Group’s businesses. He was Company Secretary for over 3 years and is responsible for the financial management of the Group. Stuart is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants and prior to Osborne, Stuart held senior finance roles for Hogg Robinson Group Plc.
Michael Strong – Non-Executive Director
Michael served as Executive Chairman for EMEA at CBRE Group, from 2001 until 2015, and CEO and President of EMEA from 2005 until 2012. During his 40 years in the commercial property market, he has gained extensive first-hand experience in advising customers on a wide variety of major development, investment, and leasing projects. He has been Non-Executive Director at NHS Property Services Ltd. since February 2016.
Alison Littley – Non-Executive Director
Alison is Chairman of Eakin Healthcare Group Ltd and a non-executive director with building materials group James Hardie Industries, UK law firm Weightmans LLP, and Market Harborough Building Society.
Alison has held senior commercial and procurement roles with both Mars and Diageo, and was Chief Executive of Buying Solutions, HM Treasury’s independent entity responsible for improving government commercial and procurement activity.
Alison has a broad business experience in addition to her expertise in strategic marketing & purchasing and operational change management.
