Our Infrastructure Business Recruited Over 100 People in 2020 – Here’s Why

Across much of the economy, 2020 was a year that most businesses were glad to see the back of. The unexpected disruption of a pandemic and the more predictable turbulence of Brexit continue to create a backdrop of uncertainty.

Yet, infrastructure has a different story to tell. Covid-19 certainly had an impact on the way we were able to work but, in spite of this, we ended the year in a strong position. Osborne Infrastructure has a secured pipeline of work worth over £1bn through a range of frameworks and long-term partnerships covering rail and highways.

Part of the reason is the Government’s determination to ‘build back better’ and to use infrastructure investments to support its levelling-up agenda. We also like to think that opportunities came our way because of the investments we’ve made over many years in building relationships and enhancing our reputation for excellent quality and customer service.

What’s undeniable is that our business performance and the trust placed in us by our customers stems from the people we employ.

Discover Career Opportunities With Osborne Infrastructure

Thanks to continuing growth we have exciting projects to deliver for Highways England, Network Rail, HS2, Connect Plus, local highways authorities and more. This was why we had 109 new starters during 2020 and why we’re looking for more talented people who share our values to join our infrastructure team.

The outlook is extremely positive. The growth in our business offers secure employment and career development opportunities for existing and future employees. There’s also a progressive and supportive culture that values every individual and encourages achievement.

Available roles range from apprenticeships and graduate entry for those starting their careers, to experienced multi-skilled operatives, quantity surveyors, roadspace coordinators, project planners and managers. We are also looking for a Head of Rail Services, Head of Safety and Sustainability, and an Environmental Advisor. If you can bring the skills and enthusiasm, Osborne Infrastructure will match that with the opportunity.
