We have extensive experience of successfully carrying out complicated refurbishment projects in London requiring an excellent standard of finish. Often in restricted locations, with multiple stakeholders and occupied buildings surrounding the site, these projects require careful planning, consultations with our supply chain and preferred temporary works specialists, and regular liaison with the neighbourhood.
We have recently completed a refurbishment scheme at 79 New Cavendish Street involving external stonework, early demolition and subsequent reconfiguration of six office floor plates, a new central core and grand entrance foyer. This scheme also involved extensive temporary works. A comprehensive RMD propping system was installed to support the remaining structure, with temporary structural steelwork columns and beams used to tie the existing facade into the existing remaining structure. Temporary propping equated to 68 tonnes of propping, eight tonnes of mass equipment, 19 tonnes of temporary steelwork, with a further eight tonnes of steelwork incorporated within the whole scheme.
