Our wider approach to community investment features joined up plans for recruitment, job opportunities, training and work experience placements. The resulting win-win outcomes help our customers meet their obligations under the Social Value Act 2013.

Through training and development we constantly grow the capabilities of our staff by moving them into new roles while recruiting for new vacancies from the local community – ideally at entry up to mid-management level. All staff receive a minimum of 5 days training per annum, directed through their personal development plans to ensure they have the knowledge, skills and abilities to succeed in their jobs and progress their careers at Osborne.

All of our local employment outputs, including apprenticeships and work placements, are mapped and managed using a contract-specific community investment plan. This approach helps us deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and retain the high calibre, local staff.
