Issue
Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust had a clear vision of the future of care for people with acute mental health and specialist learning difficulties. However, the existing facility carried an institutional feel and did not reflect new advances in physical and pastoral care that could place Kingfisher Court as a leader in their field.
The project required an entirely new build to create a ‘home away from home’ patient care approach to create a secure and safe patient environment with innovative and pioneering facilities.
