A collaborative relationship achieves high- level performance.
The work by independent consultancy HouseMark found that, of the repairs services of 19 of London’s local authorities and arm’s-length management organisations (ALMOs), the London Borough of Waltham Forest is in the ‘upper quartile’ for the low cost per property of its repair service. This is across a portfolio of 12,300 homes, including 1,800 leaseholds and encompasses a wide range of services covering housing repairs, void refurbishments and planned refurb works.
On average, the cost is £230 lower than the median for London boroughs and ALMOs. Importantly this saving is not at the expense of quality or service for residents, as average customer satisfaction for 2015/2016 is 97 per cent.
While Osborne and our partner Waltham Forest are delighted by these findings, they have not come about by accident. This high-level of performance has been achieved by our collaborative relationship.
