Gade Student visit by Brunel University

Osborne’s Gade Valley site team recently held an educational and inspirational site visit for students from Brunel University.
The students were given an insight into the design development and the physical works within a confined space whilst working at height, including the use of trials on the mock-up section to ensure our solutions are safe and efficient.

Recently, the Gade Valley  team  used sustainable energy solutions to reduce fuel consumption and lower our carbon footprint. In addition to the solar panels on the office roof providing ¾ of the power needs to the compound, there is also a newly installed Solatainer® which replaces a diesel powered generator.

The recycled 20ft shipping container mounted with a 20kW photovoltaic array currently provides power to the scaffold hoist. So far the results are promising, with generation well in excess of usage, and the site
team are now determining more ways in which this power can be used.
