Godalming Footbridge Delivered Five Weeks Ahead of Programme

Osborne has handed back Godalming Footbridge to Network Rail, five weeks ahead of programme.
Godalming Station is a Heritage Listed Building built in 1859. The platforms were originally only connected by an aging subway hence  the Access for All scheme looked to provide a new enclosed footbridge, lifts and staircases to allow the old subway to be decommissioned.

A Network Rail Asset Manager commented: – “My thanks for all your efforts and the high standard of works you continually set yourself and for delivering the new footbridge ready for operational usage and meeting our stakeholder requirements.”

Osborne also undertook other station refurbishment measures during this time, including, a new cycle shelter, platform resurfacing, new copers and CCTV upgrades.
