Osborne Completes London Depot Works in Time for Christmas

Osborne has completed £3.7 million work to construct two maintenance rail pits at the Stewarts Lane depot in Battersea.

Osborne begun work on site six months ago and the scheme for Southern Rail has seen the design and construction of two maintenance rail pits at the depot on roads 9 and 10. This work has also included the demolition of existing roads before the build of the new reinforced concrete pits, as well as the installation of new mechanical and electrical services.

Dave Hooper, Osborne Infrastructure Director, said, “This project has posed several challenges to ensure we meet our customers’ expectations. We are pleased to have been able to do this on time and to budget in readiness for the festive period.”
