Osborne Completes London Rail Station Work

Osborne recently completed platform and station upgrade works at Queenstown Road Station in Battersea, South London.

Working on behalf of Network Rail, Osborne installed new copers with integrated tactiles which improves the grip at the platform edge.

They put in place a new drainage system with sumps and new outlets, rebuilt the timber decking section above Battersea Park Road and resurfaced the entire platform.

Adam Szeremeta, Osborne Assistant Site Manager said: “Work started in January this year and due to the strict time restrictions on the busy Waterloo to Richmond and Hounslow loop lines, the team were only able to work an average of 1.5hrs during each shift on site. Despite these restrictions, we are very pleased with the results.”

During the work, the Osborne team avoided further potential access problems as they worked in collaboration with a local building project to ensure that access was maintained throughout the upgrade work.
