Saving time and money with Innovaré

Osborne has been fully utilising the factory expansion at its subsidiary company, Innovaré.

Completed last year to double capacity and drive efficiency, the expansion has enabled Osborne to successfully complete projects ahead of time and under budget, and, as a result is leading to an increase in new business.

One particular project success following Innovaré’s factory re-fit has seen Osborne save over £100,000 across six schools schemes which were part of its Hampshire framework. Subsequently, these savings have been passed onto the customer.

Andrew Bryant, Operations Co-ordinator at Innovaré, said: “Since the factory reorganisation, we have seen an increase in capability in all areas to deliver the future workload, nearly doubling SIPs (structural insulated panels) output.

We have expanded and reorganised the multi-purpose area which can be transformed to meet the demands of the business, switching between manufacturing Timber Frame and Cassettes almost instantaneously”

Innovare operate using a ‘Just-in-time’ delivery method, which reduces build times and minimises storage on-site. This allows for fewer deliveries, labour and materials on-site, thus reducing resultant noise and dust.

Last year’s reorganisation further enhanced the off-site delivery programme. The improved lead-in period has allowed Osborne to benefit from a more robust and predictable procurement structure, enabling them to respond more quickly and effectively to changing customer needs and circumstances.
