Sharing Experience at Osborne Trainee Day at Brighton City College

Brighton City College’s new Construction Trade Centre was this month’s venue for the Osborne trainee workshop.Hosted by a Trainee Site Manager, Andy Weeks, he gave an overview of the project’s key elements to the 16 current trainees with support from the rest of the project team. Afterwards, we took a comprehensive tour of the project including a close up of the recently finished glass-look plasterwork.
Our Construction Director, Richard Watts, presented graduation certificates to two of the trainees.

“I was absolutely delighted to attend the trainee workshop at Brighton City College. What made it all the more special was the opportunity to celebrate the graduation from the trainee programme of Elliot West and Neal Mansukh and their promotions to Assistant Surveyor and Assistant Site Manager respectively. Well done to both.”

Following the tradition of previous workshops a skills test was given to the trainees; to ‘tile a wall’. Although most had minimal or no previous tiling experience, they were improvising measuring, grouting, cutting and fixing tiles into place!
