The Sound of Music

Osborne has been awarded the contract to redevelop the existing theatre at the Royal Academy of Music, on Marylebone Road in North West London.

The project will see the development of the Royal Academy of Music including alterations and refurbishment of the existing Theatre together with the addition of a new Recital Hall and glazed lobby at roof level above the theatre.

Osborne, who rebranded last year to a vibrant pink, has a strong track record in the delivery and development of important statement buildings. Examples include the award winning RIBA London Building of the Year, the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre for the LSE, the University of Greenwich, Covent Garden and, closer to the arts, the Chichester Festival Theatre.

Simon Parham, Director at Osborne said: “The Royal Academy of Music has been pivotal in the development of countless outstanding musical careers. We are delighted to be able to contribute to the future of a major cultural institution.”

Work will start this summer and is due to be completed in 18 months.
