Wessex Contract is formally signed

Osborne has just formally signed the contract with Network Rail Infrastructure Projects for a Framework covering the Wessex Route, starting on 1 April 2014.

The contract signing was attended by Osborne, along with the other successful bidders including Volker Fitzpatrick, Costain and BAM Nuttall for Anglia, Kent and Sussex Routes respectively.

Osborne achieved the highest bid score of all ten tendering companies.

Dave Hooper, Osborne Executive Director, said: “We are delighted to have secured this great opportunity and continue our journey with Network Rail. We look forward to developing a one team, collaborative approach with Network Rail, their customer South West Trains and our supply chain partners.”

The Wessex Route has a potential value of approximately £250m over the next five years. The multi-asset, multi-discipline work will include design and delivery with Design Partner, Hyder.
